Third
Grade
The third grade classes
had music once or twice a week
this year and studied the
following concepts:
- Pitch syllables
do, re, mi, so, and la.
- Pitch letter
names on the music staff.
- Verse-refrain
form.
- Beat and
Rhythm.
- Rhythmic note
values: half notes, quarter notes, and eighth
notes.
- Dynamic
markings.
- Spirituals

selections included:

The Third Grade
classes also worked on the music for their program,
