Fourth and fifth grade students are given the opportunity to audition for chorus at the beginning of the school year. At the beginning of this year we had approximately 100 students who auditioned for chorus. Because of limited rehearsal space, we were not able to contain that many students in chorus. Chorus students have higher musical expectations as well as exemplary behavioral expectations and must have the ability to keep up with missed work assigned during rehearsals.
At the end of the year, we had approximately 45 students in Chorus. Fourth grade chorus students rehearsed on Monday afternoons from 1:25-1:55, and fifth grade students rehearsed on Wednesday afternoons from 1:25-1:55. Rehearsals took place in Mr Sexton's room.
The chorus presented a concert of Holiday songs in December and a Spring concert in April.
